For the first time since I moved to Boston for college (eight years ago? Seriously?), I had the misfortune of moving on September 1st. In Boston, the home to approximately one hundred million colleges and universities, moving on September 1 is an EVENT. You have to rent your UHAUL about six months in advance. It’s best to stay inside if you aren’t moving because there are lots of lost parents driving massive UHAUL trucks with no idea what they are doing. It is frequently a terrifying experience. In previous years I’ve moved in January or June, a much safer and less stressful moving schedule. Alas, I was not as lucky this year.
After about two weeks, I’d say I’m almost recovered. The good news about moving is that my room is now about three times the size as my last room and I can fit an ARMCHAIR in here more than comfortably.

I feel kind of spoiled about it. I’ve arranged things mostly how I want them, but I am really bad with The Tools, so not much is on the wall yet. The only things that are on the wall are over by my desk.
I’m really in love with the set up but I think I may have to swap the places of desk and the armchair. Eventually.

Moving is always painful, doubly so when you do it just before school begins! I’m glad that you are settled now and are enjoying your new place.
I’m so happy with it already! Thanks!
I am so jealous of your comfy chair. There’s not even enough room for a dresser in our bedroom, let alone a chair! Have a happy, lazy Sunday!
I definitely got lucky with all the space in this room.
What a great spot! It looks cozy and personal, and I really like the combination of black and pink.
It’s actually a navy blue (boo bad pictures!) but it’s cute all the same, I think. Thank you!
I don’t have a chair in my bedroom. I just sit on the floor.
Saddest comment in the world.
Moving is such a pain in the ass. It really is. BUT, your new reading spot looks very cozy. Well worth the trouble.
I can’t believe I got lucky enough to even have a “reading spot!” woohoo.
